This guide will walk you through the deployment and registration of your first Darknode. Before you begin, make sure that you have a Mac OS, Windows OS, or Ubuntu machine available and 10,000 REN.

Darknode Hardware Requirements and Costs

During installation and deployment, remote machines will be automatically provisioned as needed. You do not need to provision these machines yourself.

It is recommended that you run your Darknode using one of these two cloud providers. Installing the Darknode software manually in other environments is not currently possible. After the release of Chaosnet, there’ll be a renewed focus on supporting tools for Darknode owners and third-party developers (right now, the core protocol is getting most of our attention).
